The Role
My client, a busy medical practice is seeking an experience Practice Manager to join their team based in Co. Wicklow. This is a full time, permanent, office-based position.
As the Practice Manager, you will ensure the smooth running ofthe practice daily by supervising, coaching and mentoring the administration and reception leads. You will maximise practice income in the administration and reception departments. You will report directly to the Managing Partner/Partnership.
Tasks& Duties
* Secretary to the board, responsible for swift implementation of decisions taken at monthly meetings.
* Primary liaison person with other tenants in the PCC.
* Website management.
* Doctors/nurses diary management with a view to driving practice income.
* Regular meetings with Admin and Reception Supervisors, supporting their management of the day to dayrunning of the practice.
* HR management to include contracts/annual review/employee handbooks up to date etc.
* Handling staff grievances and any necessary disciplinary measures.
* Recruitment of new administration & reception staff.
* Developing and implementing operational procedures and protocols.
* Formal complaint management.
* Health and Safety Statement management.
* GDRP/Child protection compliance management.
* Risk management/governance.
* Financial oversight including:
*Credit Control.
* Review of PCRS statements to ensure subsidies/claims maximised.
* Review of financial statements quarterly/annually inc liaison with accountants.
* Assisting Admin Supervisor with bookkeeping/payroll queries.
* Cash flow management/ projections.
* Marketing practice services with assistance from Administration Supervisor.
* Business development and strategic planning.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
* A minimum of 2 year's experience managing a busy medical practice.
* Proven numerical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of medical accounting procedures and GMS payments would be desirable but not essential. Training can be provided.
* Excellent People management skills and familiarity with HR practices.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* Excellent Organisation skills.
* Good knowledge of adminand reception workflows.
