My client, based in Bridgend are looking for a Logistics and transport coordinator to work within their busy and friendly depot. This is a nights role so will be looking for someone who is seeking a permanent night post.
Your role will be to assist the transport and depot manager in organising deliveries and drivers locations.
The key responsibility of the Transport coordinator role -
* Daily Planning and costing of deliveries tomaximise cost effectiveness within the constraints of vehicle capacity, vehicle route and drivers' hours, and store booking inwindows.
* Daily communication with drivers and hauliers.
* KPI reporting, data collection and some analysis for both own fleet and subcontract.
* Cost Monitoring.
* Ensure maximisation of own fleet utilisation.
You must have experience in a similar role, be computer literate including strong Microsoft skills. Excel and data entry is a large part of this post so you must be efficient in these skills.
This is a permanent post to start as soon as possible. Offering a competitive salary dependant on experience and comes with holiday and pension allowance and free parking in site.
