An exciting opportunity (which includes ww travel (once trained)) has arisen with our established client, based in Carlow, who requires an experienced Agri Product Support Engineer. Once fully trained there will be hybrid work option.
You will be joining a continually growing, expanding and innovating, home grown, Irish engineering and productioncompany who sells their product/machinery world wide.
The main function of the job is to offer effective technical support toglobal clients, Dealers and Customer networks through email, phone and occasionally in person.
Technical and practical knowledge, with a good understanding of hydraulics and electrics is essential. Third level qualification in Engineering coupled with the ability to write technical documents and assess and problem solve technical problems will secure.
The candidate:
Will beworking as part of a team to provide efficient and effective technical support.
Will be working with the after sales team in the training of importer/ dealer networks.
Needs to be highly self-motivated with good enthusiasm for agricultural machinery.Duties will include:
* Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technicalissues, including account setup configuration
* Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem* Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they've solved a technical issue
* Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
* Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
* Refer to internal resources to provide accurate technical solutions
* Ensure all issues are properly logged
* Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
* Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
* Maintain positive relationships with Dealer and Distributor Network
This role would suit someone who has an agri/construction background, engineering degree and some previous product/engineering support experience.
