Job Title: Dispatch Manager (Agriculture/Logistics)
Due to the retirement of their current Dispatch Manager who served the company for 40 years, our client, a well-established player in the agricultural sector, is seeking a hands-on Dispatch Manager for their busy fertiliser production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with agricultural knowledge and experience in a fast-paced dispatch/logistics environment.
Location: Kildare, Ireland
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm (with an on-call rota)
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of 8-10, ensuring efficientdispatch of 2,250 tonnes of product weekly.
* Optimise dispatch operations, including scheduling, resource management, and performance tracking.
* Ensure strict cleaning and hygiene standards across the dispatch areas.
* Collaborate with the GeneralManager on process improvements and operational efficiency.
* Handle staff recruitment, training, and performance management.* Play a key role in health and safety compliance.
* Be part of the 24/7 management team, with on-call responsibilities every three weeks.
What We're Looking For:
* Agricultural or fresh produce experience in a fast-moving logistics or dispatchrole.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to drive team performance.
* Experience with health and safety standards and site management.
* Calm under pressure with a hands-on approach to solving problems.
* Valid driver's license.
