FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Executive Director on behalf of an established farm organisation. This is a full-time permanent role.
Job purpose
To provide best possible membership services for the Associationwith a strong representative role.
Working hours
37.5 hours per week based in our head office in office in Portlaoise.
Working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Hybrid working option available.
Reporting to the management committee you will be responsible for the following duties
* To provide financial management, marketing, and public relations servicesto support the activities of the organisation.
* To portray the organisation in the most favourable light possible to (1) Farm& Forestry Contractors in Ireland and (2) to the Irish Farming and Farm Machinery industry sector including Government Departments.
* Plan, source, analyse and secure annual Membership Payments to fund the Association's activities.activities.
* Todevelop new commercial opportunities to meet the long-term funding needs of a growing the association.
* To participate fully, and occasionally initiate, Regional Meetings, Field Events and Demonstrations.
* Promote the interests of the organisation through industry events, demonstrations etc.
* Ensure up to date knowledge of the latest technical developments and put forwardproposals to support farm & Forestry Contractor activities.
* Maintain and develop contacts with people who supply information both nationally and internationally.
* Represent the Association at CEETTAR, the European Organisation of Agricultural,Rural and Forestry contractors.
* Plan and execute Membership publications, including monthly Newsletters.s.
* To be an integral part of the Executive team.
* Participate in all meetings and discussions.
* Ensure that all agreed deadlines are met.* Contribute to the implementation of the digital strategy, including news updates, blogs, social-media and multi-media outlook etc as required
Candidate
* Third Level qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agri-Business or a related discipline.
* Authoritative knowledge of Irish Farm & Forestry Contracting with good knowledge of overall Agriculturalindustry.
* Experience and skills in customer service and research. Strong command of English.
* Computer literacy and digital skills including online media.
* Self-starter.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
Other features
* Be available to travel nationally and internationally.
* Responsibilities are flexible and may be changed and / or added to in accordance with business requirements.
* The role-holder will be required to workon any project that the National Chairman and the Management
* Committee may reasonably delegate at any time and, if necessary, to work as part of the team on any publications /tasks as required.
