Currently we are recruiting for a Ruminant Nutritionist with a commercial background to promote a wide a range of feed supplements on farm in the Limerick / Kerry area. This is a full-time permanent role.
Are you living in the Kerry or Limerick area and seeking a career in Ruminant nutrition in 2024? If so this may be the role for you. You will be joining an established team and you will get the opportunity to work with progressive dairy and beef farmers in the Kerryand Limerick area.
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for the following duties
* Full responsibility for business development and profitability for the animal feed product lines delivered through existing customers and prospecting for new customers. ( Performance minerals , additives & moist feeds )
* Deliver product portfolio , turnover andprofit growth
* Ensure routine and timely credit control activities
* Manage relationships with key customers & expandcustomer base.
* Maintain excellent knowledge of Irish animal feed sector including market trends, challenges, opportunities,impact of external/international factors on the Irish sector etc.
* Ensure Group senior management are kept up to date on business performance, activities, prospects and challenges
* Develop an extensive network of contacts amongst customers, influencers and regulatory authorities. Ensure relevant customer contacts / communications are updated on CRM system.
* Liaise with other team members (logistics, marketing, finance etc.)
Candidate profile
* A strong desire to pursue a career in Ruminant Nutrition.
* 1-2 years previous commercial experience.
* 3rd level Degree in Agriculture desirable.
