FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Tractor Product Manager on behalf of an established farm machinery dealer with over 30 strategic locations across Australia. This is a full-time permanent role.

FRS Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the largest privately-owned farm machinery distribution networks in Australasia,servicing primary producers and agricultural contractors from 32 strategic locations throughout Australia and New Zealand and Australia.

With locations in Melbourne & Christchurch my client co-ordinates wholesale activities and support functions across Australia and New Zealand, and each of their dealerships is a regional sales, service and support hub for the complete range of tractor and other leading farm machinery brands.

This position is based from the Melbourne office with occasional travel. My client is a modern workplace, where flexible practices are embraced, but with a strong culture and team comradery that you'll enjoy being around and amongst. We welcome enquiries from those considering relocation either domestically or from abroad, and will provide a comprehensive relocation support package, and direct assistance for those requiring a Visa to live and work inAustralia. Although this is a permanent role, if our preferred candidate is seeking more of a working experience in Australia for 2-3 years, we are also able to consider a fixed term type of employment arrangement.

Duties to include

* Provides leadership, guidanceand control regarding the product range to ensure the highest possible professional service and standards are delivered at alltimes.
* Provides expert advice on the product range, as and when required
* Undertakes regular factory product training toensure that knowledge is current and expert at all times.
* Works with the National Sales Manager - New Zealand and the General Manager - Retail to provide valuable input into the annual business plan with regard to improvement in sales, gross margin, after-sales service, customer care and profitability.
* Continuously assesses market opportunities for the relevant product range, seeking potential areas of growth, identifying gaps and researching new product opportunities.
* Works closely with suppliers to ensure they have a full understanding of market opportunities, product issues and competitor challenges.
* Develops a robust process to understand dealer stock, projects and dealer sales forecasts.
* Works closely with suppliers to ensure they have a full understanding of market opportunities, product issues and competitor challenges.
* Works to ensure that our suppliers enjoy a high level of comfort with regard to the support and backup for their products in the region.
* In conjunction withthe National Sales Manager accountable for the development and timely communication of any new product implementation plans to relevant stakeholders including service, parts, marketing etc to ensure appropriate service training, tooling, parts stocking andmarketing campaigns are implemented to support the new product.
* Monitors competitor activity and is fully conversant in competitor product.
* Leads the setting of strategic objectives for the Product team and measures, monitors and rewards and recognises achievement.
* Works closely with the Product Managers to ensure that all product training meets the needs of the retailsales personnel and the growing product profile of the business.
* Ensures that our dealers, customers, suppliers and partners are well communicated to and enjoy a strong level of trust with our company
* Manages relationships with dealers and Supportroles to ensure that they receive timely information and have a clear understanding of product features and after-sales requirements.
* Is prepared to carry out any duties as required to the standard of work required within set time frames.



Experience required

* Previous experience in a tractor technical support role.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence & negotiate.
* Ability to lead , manage and motiavte.
* A strategic mindset & highly motivated.
* Degree educated.
