FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Agri Graduate on behalf of an established arable seed wholesaler. This is a full-time permanent role.
Have you an interest crops and living in the Southeast? This role will suit someone living in the South Kilkenny , Waterford or Southwest Wexford area.
We are particularly looking for candidates with an agricultural science degree from 2022/2023.
My client is a leading research, production and wholesale arable seed company in Irelandand a trusted partner in seed development and production since 1859.
Through international partnerships, large scale investments in production facilities and an extensive variety selection program, my client are bringing to market, new leading seed varieties of all major agricultural crops including cereals, pulses and oil-seeds. These varieties ensure increased efficiency on-farm and support a more profitable future for grain growers.
We are now seeking a candidate for our graduate program centred on the production of our high-value seed crops (Basic Seed, Hybrid Oil Seed Rape & Hybrid Barley) for both local markets andleading multinational seed companies for export.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate interested in crop production to join a progressive organisation at an exciting time in its growth in Ireland.
Program Aim:
Our training and graduate program takes two years and is designed to provide the candidate with operational, commercial and agronomic experience in variety selection and seed production and processing.
This is a full time 2 year program based in our Head office in Waterford. On successful completion of the program the graduate will be offered a full-time position within the group.
As part of theprogram candidates will also complete the IASIS accredited training in plant protection.
You will gain work experience &training in the following areas
* Trials Program for screening and selection of new varieties.
* Crop Agronomy & management in the fields.
* Seed Intake, Drying, Cleaning and Processing.
* Seed Sales & Marketing
Candidate profile
*Degree qualified in Agriculture.
* A strong interest in Crops.
