Machanical Design Engineer Role:
CAD design experience - AUTOCAD 2D 3D & INVENTOR
- Supports product planning and provide technical input for future roadmaps and technology development plans
- Supports cross-program strategic continuity of design
- Understands and employs the fundamentals of mechanical design
- Run fit-for-purpose design analysis and apply knowledge & application of analytically tools
- Applies processes such Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) and tools such as 7-step problem solving to enable high quality decision making in concept development
The Successful Design Engineer:
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline with a minimum 3-5 years relevant experience.
- CAD design experience - AUTOCAD 2D 3D & INVENTOR
- Working experience with Internal Combustion Engine concepts
- Understanding of fundamental design principles & toolsets (DFM, DFA, DFMEA, design in
context)
- Familiarity with product design life cycle management (PLM) - particularly in concept development
- Self-motivation, time management and proactiveprioritisation essential
- Strong people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals
