THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're proud to be exclusively recruiting on behalf of a global consumer focused business who due to expansion is now seeking a Senior Communications Manager to join the team.
As a Senior Communications Manager, you'll be taking ownership for the smooth-running of the internal & external communications to promote and protect their UK business & brand.
Core responsibilities will be internal & external communications, including: External PR Agency Management, Press Office, Media Relations (including Crisis & Issue Management), PR Planning/Delivery and Internal Employee Engagement Programs.

THE SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER ROLE:
* Overseeing budget and supporting strategy
* Act as a guardian of company culture and valuesensuring that they are integrated and substantiated through communications in a consistent and engaging manner.
* Ensure thatall communications meet our brand and key messaging, tone of voice and visual style
* Build effective and positive working relations with internal stakeholders external agencies
* Increase our national brand awareness amongst key media & media titles
* Management of in-house press office function- proactive and reactive
* Work with the marketing team to ensure PR supports the content marketing strategy
* Creation and delivery of a clear PR plan for the UK audiences based on the strategy
* Plan resourcing & brief internal teams for all PR campaigns
* Oversee all crisis communications - managing and responding tomedia enquiries
* Reputation management advisory role to the business
* Identification and management of ongoing corporateUK PR opportunities
* Ownership of digital PR (working with digital marketing team) i.e. influencer outreach, link building, targeting media through social channels
* Developing a stronger internal communications approach to ensure recruitment and retain the best people.
* Working with internal stakeholders, support and roll out the continual improvement & innovation of our internal communications
* Deliver a comprehensive annual internal communications calendar & ensure any new activities are evidence-based
* Keep abreast of internal communications trends and good practice and be at the forefront of digital innovation
THE PERSON:
* Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, preferably in a PR or comms subject
* Must have current experience in a Senior / Communications Manager role or similar
* You'll need to be able to demonstrate that you have expertise in; Media Relations, Internal Communications, Brand Presence/Positioning, Multi-Channel Engagement and Campaigns,Crisis & Issue Management and a solid understanding of the Press and Media landscape in the UK
* Experience of writing formedia and communicating messages
* A natural leader and able to demonstrate the management of experienced specialists
* Excellent writing skills and understanding the importance of strong photography and video to media
* Ability to plan, manage andproduce high quality, premium projects and a methodical approach to project management
