If you're looking for a new experience that both challenges you and excels your career keep reading. We are looking for an experiences Senior design manager to provide their MEP expertise into large residential schemes across the capital, focusing on green sustainability.
Job Function:
You will be supporting the construction team by being engaged and involved in pre-construction stages; Winning contracts/new projects, managing designs and consultants, whilst also questioning designs and providing designs.
Job responsibilities:
* Support the Regional Technical Director and Principal Design Manager in delivering the technical engineering management strategy.
* Selection of suitable MEP design consultants to support the delivery of design on all our projects
* Produce agree and manage, with all relevant parties, a realistic design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement and construction requirements
* Oversee the design process through project bids and PCSA periods and at all stages working with the design and commercial teams.
* Manage the production of the contractor's proposals and validation, ensuring they are complete and unambiguous
* Ensure the design has been reviewed on all projects with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction and ensure that hazards are notedon all drawings at each stage of their production
* Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement programmes and innovation.

Essential experience needed:
* 7 + years within consultancy (Preferably mechanical, electrical also considered)
* Experience within a minimum of 2-3 projects
* Understanding of appointments* Exposure in projects and an understanding of what is needed throughout the process
* Experience in RIBA / BSRIA work stages
* Managed M&E projects with the value of £10 million above
