Description:
An exciting expansion and line evolution at an established Design and Manufacturing business in the Darlington area requires additional resource within the Industrial Engineering function on a 12 month contract basis!
A Senior Industrial Engineer is required on a contract basis to assist with developing of a new assembly line forthe manufacture of large, complex, and tight tolerance products.
Working closely with on-site manufacturing and engineeringstaff you will develop a model of time for the implementation of this project and use a selection of industry tools at your disposal to maximise the efficiency.
The Snr Industrial Engineer role:
- Lead work studies for new and current production lines.
- Lead standard work methods for new and current production lines.
- Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and productspecifications are met.
- Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Maintains the application of business standards and develops manufacturing standards.
- Leadsthe communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
- Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
The Successful Senior Industrial Engineer:
- Strong Previous automotive or heavy industry experience is required for this role.
- Good working knowledge / experience of time study
- Shouldhave experience of using synthetic data for standard times (MOST, MTM or similar)
- Strong project management within ideally automotive / heavy industry sector
- Qualified through the IMS (Institute of Management Services) - this means that they are qualified in at-least point 1 above.
- Qualified through significant experience and vocational qualifications or a degree in a Mechanical / Industrial Engineering discipline.
