MEETING AND EVENTS MANAGER
KNUTSFORD, CHESHIRE
UPTO £35K + BONUS + PROGRESSIONTHE OPPORTUNITY:
I am currently recruiting exclusively for my client based in Knutsford, Cheshire for a Meeting and Events Manager to join within their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is an extremely rare and exciting opportunity tojoin a prestigious Hotel within their Conference and Banqueting team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, co-ordinate and implement conferences, weddings and other special events to a high standard, using a hands-on approach where necessary to ensure guest expectations are met, and exceeded at every opportunity.
* Ensure the boardrooms and meetings and event space is set up inaccordance with guest specifications by supervising team members and inspecting function rooms prior to events.
* To ensure that all organisers are contacted and welcomed upon arrival and act as 'Master of Ceremonies' or Toast Master if required.
* Conducts daily briefing with the team before every service, concerning food and beverage, events, special requirements, VIPs etc.* Responsible for the delivery of C&B related training and monitoring of personnel development plans, reviews, appraisals,and objectives for each team member, as well as development of innovative training.
* Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing process, performance management process and all linked administration in conjunction with the HR Department, for all employees within the C&B team.
* To manage the appropriate levels, procedures and conditions of stock.
* Ensure the team arefully trained to use any equipment they may need to perform their duties.
* To ensure all team members understand and complywith all relevant licensable activities.
* Responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with budgeted manning percentage.
