Title - Head of Property Safety

Location - South

Salary - £80k



Our client, a large local Housing association in the South of England requires a Head of Property Safety to lead and ensure full compliance with Landlord Health & Safety, Legislative and Regulatory requirements for the Group.



Specific responsibilities include developing and establishing robust processes and systems to ensure quality compliance records and data is captured. This information must then be accessible in order to demonstrate building safety compliance.



With a healthy existing stock, our client is also delivering on an ambitious development programme, which will see the need for ongoing compliance and Safety support.



Responsibilities



* Ensure the progress of all assurance reporting relevant to Landlord Health & Safety activities.
* To spearhead the change that may be required in accordance with the Hackitt Review and Regulatory/Legislative changes
* Drive the effective delivery of fire safety works programmes, ensuring quality compliance records and data is captured.
* Develop the communication strategies relevant to Landlord Health & Safety, ensuring strong engagement with residents
* Respond appropriately to emerging Government safety advice and best practice, developing relevant strategies accordingly to ensure that the Group are recognised as leaders on buildingsafety.



Experience

* A proven record of success within a senior leadership role in a complex technical area, translating a vision into a deliverable programme within a challenging and dynamic environment
* Extensive knowledge and experienceof legislative and regulatory requirements relating to Landlord Health and Safety within the social housing sector.
* Abilityto demonstrate active sector engagement/influence relevant to emerging fire safety considerations
* Proven experience of building, leading and motivating teams both directly and indirectly.
* Proven Risk Management experience including the ability to embed an effective and consistent approach to building safety and prioritise activity in line with risk.
* Relevant NEBOSH accreditation
* Membership of an appropriate professional body (AIFireE Level Membership to the IFE or equivalent)
