MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - CATERING
CENTRAL MANCHESTER
Up to £33,000 + BENEFITS
We have a great Opportunity for experienceManagement Accountant to work with one of Manchester's most reputable employers.
The role of the Management Accountant is primarily to manage the Catering Accounts Team ensuring accuracy and consistency across the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Producing the Management Accounts for the catering and retail outlets on a monthly basis
* Provide breakdowns and reviews ofmonthly variances against budget to the Financial Controller
* Reconcile all balance sheet control accounts including stock, sales, cash, actuals and prepayments
* Measure and review the catering financial performance and feedback monthly statistics* Manage the Accounts Assistant, prioritising their day to day workload and ensuring quality of work
* Process weekly payrollfor casual staff
* Preparing the first draft of the annual catering budget to be reviewed by the Financial Controller
* Liaise with other middle managers across the business to ensure best financial practice
* Calculate and post nominal ledger journals monthly
* Ensuring frequent stock counts are carried out at and that all variances are investigated
* Carry out periodiccash counts and spot checking of bank and cash reconciliations
THE PERSON:
* Previous experience as a Management Accountant within Catering, Food & Beverage (F&B) or Hospitality
* Part or Fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT
* Previous involvement in preparing monthly management accounts, control reconciliations, and cost management in relation to perishablestock
* Strong working knowledge of Sage
* Able to manage and motivate a team
