An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to work in CAMHS service in the Charlwood, Surrey area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
A brand new general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18
**To be considered for this position you must be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice**
As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:
* Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission
* Conduct admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of allyoung people on the unit
* Conduct risk assessments and review regularly
* Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
* Assess physical health
* Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams
* Facilitating regular CPA review meeting
* Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
* Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
* Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable
* Ability to take a clinical leadership role ina multidisciplinary team, ensuring high quality care
* To appraise own performance as a Consultant and reflect on developmentneeds
* Ability to use IT including email and the internet
* Experience in UK Psychiatric settings
The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £160,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working through days. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
