Description:

Are you a Children's Care Support Worker with experience ofworking with children and young adults, aged 6-19 years old with severe complex learning and behavioral needs such as Autism. Doyou hold at least a level 3 qualification specifically within Children and Young People. If so PCB is keen to hear from you!!We are currently recruiting experienced children workers to join our team of bank staff for flexible hours covering both day and night shift patterns. The primary responsibility is to ensure children's welfare is met and is effectively safeguarded whilstrespecting the children's privacy and dignity. You will be expected to work in a residential environment.

Key Roles and Responsibility

* Participate in the delivery of agreed care programmes

* Carry out domestic duties as required

* Assist young people with their daily independent living skills

* Where necessary assist young people with personal care

* Read and write appropriate reports and reviews

* Welcome families ad visitors and encourage their involvement in planning learning opportunities of the young person

* Where appropriate support admin of medicines or give emergency meds

* Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the young people

* Give regular feedback on the care/education and significant issues in the young persons day

* Learn how to access a range of resource material in order to support learning

* Attend and participate in Team Around the Child and Review Meetings

* Take part in regular staff and supervision meetings

* Where appropriate fulfill a key working role

The successful candidate will possess the following skills; - Hold at least a level 3 qualification specifically within Children and Young People - At least one years experience in a social care setting and a minimum of six monthssupporting a similar client group - Good communication skills and a great deal of patience.

All positions are subject to enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references. Some personal care may be involved. Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle or ability / willingness to commute via taxi due to location.
