Then we want you as part of our, skilled and committed team. We are currently expanding and require committed staff who are looking for evening and/or weekend work to support young people out in our community

First City Has several new amazing opportunity's to support young people out in our community after school hours, around term times and Weekends. We currently support children from the ages of 6 to 17 years. We arecommitted to the safeguarding of children and young people and everything we do is designed to promote the safety and well-being of the children and young people we work with. We support those with Autism, Epilepsy, Cerebral palsy, Global developmental delay, Challenging behaviours and learning disabilities.

Location: Swindon and surrounding area

Hours Available: Full-Time,Part-Time, Bank

Salary: £13.72ph

* Experience in supporting young people with learningdisabilities and health conditions
* Excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

* To develop appropriate working relationships with the young person.
* To promote independence and enable the young person to maintain existing skills and learn new skills.
* Offer strategies for development of social skills.
* Maintain professional boundaries in and outsideof the work environment.
* To act as a role model at all times.
* Provide support with all aspects of their daily lives andencouraging them to engage with positive activities

* Thinking outside the box for activities planning ahead of the visit with the child
* Working with children to gain their independence skills both within the home and community
* Working with children to meet their individual outcomes
* Be able to write clear daily reports, incident reports and accident reports.
* Administer medication as required (full training will be provided).
* Support with personal care (washing, toileting, etc)
* Bepart of a team of professionals delivering high quality person-centred care, led by an experienced management team.
* Assistin the increase of support during Half terms and Holidays

Driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential as the successful candidate will need to be available for shifts starting at 7am or finishing at 10/11pm in and around the Swindon area, including Highworth and Wroughton.
