Day Centre Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-respected Swindonbased organisation who are recruiting for a Coordinator for a Day Centre, who provide a service for adults in Swindon with learning and physical disabilities. The day centre is a place of safety, activity involvement, social connection and a place for adults to meet new people and share common situations. This role is based on full time, 37 hour a week contract with some weekend and evening shifts required on a rota basis. If you are someone who enjoys looking after adults, upholding the high levels of standards the Centre is known for and has previous experience in this area we would love to hear from you.



This role is crucial to supporting those with learning and physical disabilities, therefore you will be responsible for providing emotional andphysical support to those in need, you will also work as a part of the management team to maintain high standards and strict adherence to guidelines and procedures. A Day Centre Coordinator on occasion will be required to deputise for the manager to managestaff, plan and arrange work rotas for all involved in the success of the service.



As a Day Centre Coordinator your role will in include the supervision of staff, monitoring of performance and visitor satisfaction plus the involvement of the widerteam in all activities and social pursuits. Strict quality and CQC compliance will be planned and executed in line with all social care regulations and guidance to include the training of new staff and existing employees each and every day. You will be responsible for ensuring Medication Policies and Procedures are delivered correctly to those who require it. You will also be expected to attend training courses that will improve and expand on your knowledge and skills as well as keep you up to date on everchanging regulations.



Your career to date will evidence previous experience of caring for vulnerable adults, maybe workin a care home or supported living with a strong knowledge of health and safety, care plans and experience of lone working. Naturally we would expect an enhanced DBS disclosure, right to work in the UK documentation and satisfactory employment references.In return you will receive an attractive salary plus enhanced employee benefits as well as plenty of training and education development.

From 11 November 21, as a result of new legislation, anyone over the age of 18 who enters a Care Home as part of their job must have had both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination or hold a valid medical exemption.

* proof of your vaccination status via the NHS Covid Pass (either electronically orvia the PDF)

* A signed copy of the temporary medical exemption form
