Deputy Manager (Specialist Services)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Manager of a Specialist Service to join a Transforming Care team, supporting their customers to live a fulfilling life in their own home within the local community. The team support customers who have complex support needs, includinglearning disabilities, mental health issues, autism and communication differences, alongside ongoing physical health conditions. They may also have a forensic background and distressing behaviours.

Working with a multi-disciplinary team including a Clinical Registered Manager, Clinical Psychologist and Occupational Therapist, you'll lead their support team to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a great quality of life, supporting our customers and their families to transform lives and build independence. You will play a key role in ensuring that the services our customers receive are consistent with a high quality Positive Behaviour Support provision.

As a Deputy Manager you will be a compassionate and knowledgeable leader ensuring the delivery of a high quality, cost-effective person-centred service in line with CQC Fundamental Standard regulatory requirements. Your support team will deliver care to a small group of customers with complex needs deliveringsupport guided by the clinical team. You will play a key role in monitoring quality and outcomes data with the Clinical Registered Manager, evidencing compliance and best practice aligned with regulatory requirements.

You will be supported by the widerNew Models of Care clinical Team who will give you loads of guidance to help you be fab at your job. They come from all backgrounds including PBS, OT, Nurses and wider social provision.

You must be based in Swindon and be able to drive and have accessto a vehicle for work as you'll be required to travel and work throughout Swindon. To support the transition of customers back to the Swindon area you will be required to travel to where the customers are in order to transition them back to Swindon. This will only be for a short period of time which expenses are paid to cover this use!

A bit about you

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Deputy Manager with an excellent understanding of relevant regulatory policies and procedures, including fundamental standard regulations such as NICE guidelines and CQC regulations along with a working understanding of medication management. You will also have experience of working with individuals with complex presentations and behavioursof concern. You'll ideally be a Registered Nurse with a Learning Disabilities or Mental Health background, however this isn't essential.

You will be supported to lead and manage your team, assuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will ensure the competenceof your team through a process of observation and assessment, coaching, mentoring and directing.

Working hours

As this role will be managing 24 hr support, which will be on a rolling rota (yet to be decided as this is to support a new service in Swindon) but you and your team will support to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays including on call rota.

Working with atop of the range IT kit, including a smart phone and surface pro tablet, so you can work on the go. There may be some travelling which is all covered in your working hours, and you can claim your mileage too.
