Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead Support Worker based in Swindon within a Transforming Care team, supporting a customer to live a fulfilling life in their own home within the local community. The team support customers who have complex support needs, including learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, communication differences, alongside ongoing physical health conditions and behaviours that may challenge.
You'll manage oursmall team of front-line Positive Behavioural Support Workers in providing support that is person-centred, understands someone'spast life and experiences and builds on their strengths.
About You
You'll have excellent working knowledge and experience in CQC Regulated services and have an awareness of the national Transforming Care agenda. Holding a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent, you'll have a great understanding and passion for promoting independence and social inclusion through person centred support.
As a team leader you'll be responsible for safeguarding, you'll use your experience andbrilliant skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues. Which is delivered in a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led way. You'll also oversee complex support, working with our customer when they display any distressing behavioursand any requirement for personal care.
Working hours
Our customer needs support 24/7 to meet his needs, so you'll take your turn with your team working on a rota which could include working days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights. You may also be required to do sleep-ins or be on call in which an enhancement will be paid. As we're asking you to be flexible for our customer, we'll also give you the time back that you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
When you join, you'll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service.
In line with current Government legislation for CQC Registered Care Homes you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated to work in this service, unless you are exempt.
