Senior Support Worker - Swindon
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker on behalf of a client in Swindon who provide support for individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours which may challenge.
As a Senior Support Worker you will experience an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role, help empower people with support needs to live the lives they want to lead. Under the guidance of the service managers, you are responsible for ensuring the service runs effectively, continually develops with the changes in care standards/regulations and promotes independence to the service users, you will be responsible for the leadership of the support worker team,delivering high quality person centred support, ensuring positive outcomes for the people supported including good health and independence. Providing excellent respectful personal care, administering medication, encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes
About You:
You will need to demonstrate the abilityto motivate people to improve and maintain essential skills and move towards independence and support an ethos of positive risktaking. With excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage complex situations, you will need to demonstrate an innovative approach to rota management, community engagement, development of natural networks and deliveringbetter outcomes. Candidates require a minimum of 2 years experience with Learning Disabilities and behaviours which may challenge, both of which will be vital in your ability to perform the role.
The service is responsible for working primarily acrossa number of bungalows and a respite home, this is a 24 hour service over 7 days a week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
37hours a week with to be available to work within a flexible rota during days, weekends and bank holidays, to cover the needs ofthe service.
