Service Manager | Children Social Care | Interim | £TBC | South Coast
The purpose of the role is to provide strategic and operational leadership /management to deliver a range of services for children and families.
This position will be responsible for the leadership and management of a number of teams that deliver services for children and families within an operational locality. This will involve responsibility for either social work or early help, SEND and school and pupil support, and business support.
The postholder will be required to manage the complete range of locality services. The post-holder will contribute to the development of strong partnerships with schools, Police, NHS, voluntary and community sector and other local stakeholders to develop a place based approach to promote the safety, well-being and achievement of children and young people in their locality.
Experience:
- Substantial post-qualification experience in a related field of work
- Care or service planning (including complex cases) and professional supervision
- Multi-agency working
- Evidence of consolidated and sustained performance in related complex casework and/or service delivery, the successful application of intervention, care or other service strategies informed from an expert
- Expert knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance, best practice, policy developmente.g. processes for safeguarding and managing the needs of the service user group to secure the best outcomes for the service user
- Ability to lead, influence and shape strategic direction and focus on specialist service within a broad setting i.e. Directorate - from an expert position
