Description:
We are seeking a number of full time Support Workers for Full time permanent vacancies in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire to support specialist services which focus on mental health issues, autism and learning disabilities in both children and adults.
You will be charged with the responsibility of supporting vulnerable adults or children in all aspects of daily living. This may involve working as part of a team or with a given amount of autonomy, to provide personal care and support in a person centred fashion, designed to enable individuals to develop skills in such a way which respects and promotes independence in order that those individuals realise their own potential.
You may be directly exposed to challenging behaviours with some service users which can presentin either a physical or verbal context. Flexible shift patterns reflect the needs of the service users which can be 1-2-1 support across a 7 day schedule.
The successful Candidates will have a desired minimum of 6 months UK Based Care Experience in a similar type of role however with the right attitude no experience is considered. An NVQ is preferred but not essential as full Training will be given, including any specialist courses required. A fully enhanced DBS Check is essential and all costs will bemet by the applicant.
