FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Agricultural Business Consultant on behalf of a renewable energy company specialising in solar development. This is a full-time permanent role with a lucrative salary & bonus.
Overview
FRS Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a renewable energy company specialising in solar development.
My client is proceeding with the planned development of a number of large-scale solar farms in Ireland, each with a minimum of 700 acres. Each site will have a dedicated substation which will be constructed to connect the solar farm to the grid.
The company is also focusing on (a) smaller developments in areas where grid capacity is currently availableand (b) carbon neutral options/solutions to corporate entities.
The role
We currently require a focused, dedicatedBusiness Consultant / Project Manager who will engage with landowners and identify potential sites suitable for solar development. You will be responsible for developing a pipeline of suitable sites for solar development in Ireland, in line with the targets and objectives of the business.
The overall purpose of this role is to manage the site acquisition process and to ensure that options and leases are secured on lands that are suitable for solar from a planning perspective.
The position involves 3main stages.
* Identifying suitable sites for renewables in the Ireland and having HOTs signed.
* Liaise with landowner in having an option to lease agreement signed.
* Support the Company in securing planning permission and discharging planning conditions.
Working with the Directors of the business you will support and implement a site identification strategy to identify new suitable sites. In addition, the management of a portfolio of existing sites at various stages of negotiation.Duties to include
* The compilation of regular progress reports detailing the current status of each site/location.* Negotiation with landowners for wayleaves and exceptional issues arising.
* Risks to a project are to be identified and in consultation with other members of the Team, negotiations and studies will be commissioned to assess/resolve the issues. All projects must pass a gate check procedure before options are signed.
* Manage relationships with stakeholders (including with thepublic and landowners) for Renewable projects at all stages throughout the Republic of Ireland.
* Develop Project Communications / Stakeholder Engagement strategies.
* Central to this role will be effective landowner engagement and stakeholder engagement to build trust and social acceptance in support of delivery of major / sensitive projects.
* Engaging with the community ondevelopment sites across Ireland and dealing with any queries or concerns they may have.
* Liaise with and provide support tothe team for land easement/wayleave issues.
* Ensure all meetings and engagements are documented.
Candidate profile* A background in renewable energy an advantage but not essential.
* Previous experience in the agricultural sector / dealing with landowners / farming community desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work on owninitiative.
* The ability to build trusting relationships.
Renumeration package
* Basic salary of 50 to 60k.* A lucrative bonus structure that could earn you in excess of 100k.
