Design Draughtsman Telford Permanent - £28-32k pa
Our client is a specialist marine handling systems provider, operating from two UK sites in Hamilton & Telford, across offshore oiland gas, HV power cable, telecommunications, seismic exploration, DSV and general marine & naval handling markets. With theexperience and expertise to design, manufacture, test, mobilise and support every aspect of your marine handling system requirements, to the highest standards of quality. Their in-house capability includes all required mechanical, electrical (software andhardware) and hydraulic design disciplines, utilising AutoCAD and Inventor 3D design and modelling facilities.
The Role:
Produce and assist with practical new designs from specifications to tight timescales
Generation of documentation with the design team including 2D & 3D drawings, layouts, GA's, interface, manufacturing, parts lists and drawing office issue notes to ensure project deadlines are met
Layout design of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical machinery
Contribution to the completion and implementation of concessions and alterations/amendments to drawings and liaising with other designers
Participation in, and contribution to, design reviews, contract reviews and other project activities
Assist with/ co-ordinate the creation of contract and recommended spares lists and assist the technical author during the creation of operations and maintenance manualsExperience & Requirements:
Preferably they are looking for someone with good draughting experience in Inventor and with abackground in Fabrications and Bespoke machinery
Qualified Engineer
HNC in mechanical & production engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in structural steel fabrication design
A high degree of computing literacy on engineering design packages
Employment Conditions:
Salary paid monthly
Hours of work 5 day working week of 37 hours between 8:00-16:45Monday to Thursday and 8:00-12:00 Friday
