THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're exclusively supporting a highly successful business that is seeking to expand their CAD team due to the consistent and growing demand for their products.
As a result, they're now looking for an experienced Design Engineer / CAD Technician / AutoCAD Technician to join the team to focus on technical drawingsto exact customer specification for the manufacturing team.
The successful individual will join the business as a Design Engineer / CAD Engineer / AutoCAD Technician and work as part of a small team. You'll be involved in producing drawings for schemes,manufacturing drawings, evaluating ease of manufacture, and ensuring drawings are available for specific deadlines.
THE DESIGN ENGINEER ROLE:
* Working within a busy office environment reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be joining the team as a Design Engineer / CAD Engineer to work closely within the manufacturing team
* Using AutoCAD 2D to produce drawings
*Producing scheme drawings and layouts for evaluation against customer specifications
* Produce detailed manufacturing drawings
* Evaluate designs through cost effectiveness and ease of manufacture
* Work closely with other team members in other departments
THE PERSON:
* Experienced CAD Technician / Design Engineer
* Experience of AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor (orsimilar e.g. Solidworks)
* Proven experience of producing of manufacturing drawings
* Excellent communication skills - being able to build relationships with work colleagues and customers.
* Motivated, positive and enthusiastic attitude to work.
*Experience Using Microsoft Office and Google Docs. (spreadsheets)
* Able to use Excel and create formulas
