The Role:
As a key member of the team, you'll oversee leading, supporting, and delivering top-notch designs for the Data Centre and Critical Services sector. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff, you'll ensure that our clients receive consistent, high-quality service that results in repeat business and profitability. Your role will be pivotal in growing and developinga team of skilled engineers in this high-performing sector while also identifying new opportunities to expand our client's business.
What You'll Be Doing
* Get ready to work on exciting projects in the Data Centre and Mission Critical sector, or other high-performance fields such as labs, science, research or healthcare!
* As a team member, you'll be involved in project meetings and communicate project requirements with clients.
* You will play a key role in developing strategic concepts that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
* As a mentor, you'll engage with junior support staff and provide guidanceto help them reach their full potential.
* You'll have a knack for financial management and will work closely with the team leader to ensure fee expenditure, resource allocation, and work delivery are on track.
* Innovation and research are crucial tostaying ahead of the competition, so don't forget to take some time to explore new ways of working.
Personnel:
* You should have relevant experience in Electrical Engineering and equivalent qualifications. Maybe you even have an industry-recognized membership, like CIBSE/IET/ASHRAE/Uptime Institute.
* Have you worked on Data Centre & Mission Critical projects or an allied sector before? If so, we want to hear from you!
* You should have a great technical knowledge of your primary disciplineand an understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.* You should know your way around modern technical delivery methods and be able to design and review information created by others.
* With your good interpersonal and communication skills, you will have a proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes, resource planning, motivation, and management.
* With your previous relevant experience, you'll appreciate the importance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling in building design, and you'll be great at analysing and interpreting their impact on your work.
