Field ITEngineer - Circa £27,000 plus benefits - Company Car & On Call (dependant on experience)
Northern Scotland (will be expected to travel around the country)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing excellent customer service on all calls attended, and for maintaining and installing desktop/laptop and Epos equipment in a customer facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Service: Proficient in the installation, configuration, and support of the desktop environment and able to connect and install client software for various networking platforms at various customer locations in the UK. Troubleshoot network connectivity problems in a desktop environment.
* Customer Service: Always build and maintain effective relationships with customers, resolve situations using initiative, and act as an ambassador while on site. Recognize and forward any potential sales leads to appropriateaccount teams.Procedures and Administration: Follow documented procedures provided, respond to changes in procedures, and complete documentation including Field Service reports and Customer Checksheets.
* Personal Development: Develop expertise on PC andserver fundamentals and architecture, understand various networking platforms, and develop customer and communication skills.Duties:
* Visit customer sites on a daily basis to repair faulty desktop/laptop/Epos or printer equipment.
* Update callcontrol at the end of each call with resolution details.
* Contact with Technical support for additional technical information and when ordering additional parts.
* Return of good and faulty parts in a timely manner.
* Maintain and gain additional Vendor accreditations.
* Always maintain a smart dress code.
* Be available for additional work throughout the day.
* Workon an OOH rota usually covering 1 in 3 weeks.
* Adhere to all set process and procedures, i.e sickness, holiday booking, expenses and overtime etc.
Qualifications:
* IT industry experience
* At least 2 manufacturers recognized accreditations i.e. HP APS, IBM, Dell.
* Comptia A+ or Server + Accreditation.
* Have a good working knowledge of Server/Desktop architectureand associated OS's.
* Server/Desktop/Laptop hardware (memory/disk/nic.) configuration/install.
* Full UK driving license* Willingness to travel all through Northern Scotland
