About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Onsite Field Service Engineer.In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing onsite service and support to our valued customers. As a mobile field service engineer, you'll be tasked with promptly addressing customer-impacting technical issues and conducting preventative maintenance to uphold maximum customer satisfaction. This role operates on a 5-day schedule, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Conducting preventative maintenance, including inspections of Automated Parcel Machines (APMs), repairing broken protective wires, and ensuring camera and digital video recorder functionality.* Performing routine cleaning of APMs.
* Transporting hardware to and from customer locations as per assigned tickets.
* Collaborating with the Helpdesk and clients to resolve tickets efficiently.
* Assisting in the design and construction of toolsand equipment.
* Supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
* Adhering to and promoting safety standards.
* Addressing systemic issues and implementing short, medium, and long-term solutions.
* Participating in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems.
About You:
* We are looking for candidates with prior experience in a similar role who thrive in dynamic environments.
* Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the abilityto work autonomously are essential.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach are paramount, as our customers are our top priority.
* Please note that a valid UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel long distances are prerequisites for this role.
* Previous experience with APMs, EPoS, and other retail IT hardware is advantageous.
Salary/Package:In addition to a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum, we offer the following benefits:
