As the Lead Engineer, you'll be the linchpin, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that our commitment to excellence ismet for every sale, project, and service. This includes planned maintenance, rapid responses, and necessary remedials. Moreover, you'll take the helm in managing our skilled labor force and subcontractors, as well as coordinating essential materials for small-scale projects. Be the first point of contact for technical support and lead the charge in high-level commissioning.
Your Mission:
* Safety is paramount. Ensure all activities strictly adhere to Health & Safety standards.
* Champion the site engineering team, ensuring they not only meet but exceed contracted KPIs. This includes planned maintenance, first/second-time fixes, and response times.
* Nourish the next generation. Oversee the growth of apprentices, shaping the future of our industry.
* Proper preparation is key. Mobilize for work, issuing RAMS, and ensuring all necessary resources are readily available.
* Accuracy and timeliness matter. Complete all company reports meticulously, from IRIS/SimPro to maintenance tick sheets andcustomer-specific workflow systems.
Skills That Set You Apart:
* Navigate confidently in both customer-facing and internal settings, representing the company at senior levels.
* Boast a proven track record in cultivating and leading site engineering teams.
* Familiarity with cutting-edge systems like AMX and/or Gent WinMag.
* Deep technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and applications, including comprehensive BS5839-1 training.
* A master of installation techniques.
* Proficient in Health & Safety supervision.
* Possess satisfactory DBS clearance at an enhanced level, when necessary.
* Hold valid CSCS/ECS card, IPAF/PASMA/Asbestos Awareness certifications as required.
* Bring electrical qualifications and experience to the table.
