THE ROLE:
Working on the company's manufacturing machinery and equipment, the position will be a 50/50 split between a static position coveringan Early and Late shift at the Northamptonshire facility and then 50% supporting other UK sites in the group with Maintenance and Project work.
There is no vehicle with this role - Depending on the site location you may either fly or have use of a Pool/ Hire vehicle. The split between site and field work is only an estimate and you may, at times be static for a month or 2 weeks in, 2 weeks out.
This will also include occasional overnights stays (estimated around 4 days per month bit could vary).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Electrical / Mechanical support to ensure performance of all automated machinery and production systems.
- Prompt attendance to automated machinery failures, servicing and improvement / upgrade / project work.- General Continuous Improvement activities; spotting area's of the site and manufacturing area's to improve, creating solutionsand implementation
THE CANDIDATE:
- The successful Time Served / Apprentice trained Engineer will need to be qualified in either electrical or mechanical systems. Knowledge of both will be required (70/30 either way)
- You will have good knowledge and confident skills around varied 3 phase /415v production machinery and preferably fault-finding on PLC's up toI/O level.
- The Multi Skilled Engineer will be a logical thinker, with an autonomous approach to resolving issues and faults, a self-starter with the ability to prioritise urgent or non-urgent work. You must be a team player with sound interpersonal and be adaptable to different situations.
- YOU MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT.
