Description:
Join our innovative team in developing a high-voltage battery pack for commercial vehicles! We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to update and adapt our existing battery pack design to meet current needs.This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week onsite. The initial contract is for 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension.
In this role, you will apply your engineering principles and design practices to create optimised designconcepts and mechanical design specifications. You will ensure designs meet application, cost, weight, performance, reliability,durability, manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability standards. You will communicate design capabilities to meet cross-functional requirements and work effectively across disciplines to develop corporate and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Update and adapt existing battery pack designs.
* Assist with drafting and modeling in CREO 10.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet design requirements and resolve product issues.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 2 to 4 years in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering role.
* Proficiency in CREO 6,7 or later
* Knowledge and understanding of design for plastic injection moulding.
* Experience with sheet metal design.
* Self-motivated with strong time management and proactive prioritisation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for individual and team collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with CREO 10 (training provided if necessary).
* Assembly design maintenance experience.
* Familiarity with Windchill.
