Description:
Our client, based in Cork, requires a Project Engineer who has a proven Capital Projects Management experience.You will be joining an established Irish owned facility whose core values include Integrity and Service. A generous package includes 30 days leave. A 10% bonus, Pension and discounted healthcare.
As the Capital Projects Engineer/Manager you will be taking responsibility for the Cork based site, where you will oversee the ongoing delivery of Capital Projects. You will be a key member of the Capital Project Team, responsible for installation of new Mechanical Plant, Electrical Infrastructure, Equipment, refurbishment of existing facilities and implementation of new strategic projects.
Do you have a formal engineering degree? Electrical/Mechanical? Or a trade - electrical or mechanical?
Do you have 5 years experience as a project engineer/manager delivering on capital projects in any of the following industries: hospitality, facilities, factory?
Your duties will include:
Taking ownership of the planning, safe execution, and delivery of capital projects onsite.
Ensuring capital projects and refurbishments are completed within the time, cost and quality parameters in conjunction with all key stakeholders.
Working with all stakeholders on site to ensure effective delivery with as little interruption to operations as possible
Identify and resource external contractors capable of delivering complex capital projects.
Participating in annual project forecasting meetings and participate in the ongoing development of the capital improvement plan for the site.
Ensuring that the concept, development, implementation and close-out of each assigned project is managed under recognised project management principles and procedures.
Doyou have proven experience in successfully delivering Capital Projects?
Do you have strong technical knowledge and capability in the delivery of Cleanroom/HVAC/E&I, equipment, and utilities systems?
Do you have clear understanding of the typical project life cycle from concept through to handover?
Are you a Self -starter with ability to work on their own initiative?
Do you have strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in projects?.
Are you a strategic and tactical thinker?
Are you a convincing communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others?
Are you detail focused - each capital spend in the facility needs to work seamlessly post-delivery, meaning a detail focused approach is crucial during the planning and execution phase?
