Currently recruitingfor a Quality Technician for my client based in Meath

Role and Responsibilities:

Maintain Quality standards by ensuring the quality of products via inspection of incoming materials, in process production and finished products before they are released for dispatch. Primary function of the role is to provide Quality Assurance support to Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Production, and Product Development Departments. This includes providing support to process validation, non-conforming product issues, corrective and preventative actions and associated Quality Documentation.

* Provide the necessary Quality Assurance Technical Assistance to the relevant Business Unit to identify and resolve all quality related issues.
* Aid other departments with quality related queries as required.
* Carry out internal Quality Audits in line with ISO & customer requirements,and participate in external audits when required
* Provide input and support to company QMS for the Non-Conforming process, andfor corrective and Preventive Actions process (CAPA) relating to customer and internal issues.
* Implementation and review ofQuality Processes and Procedures and if necessary proposing modifications or additional procedures in relevant areas e.g. Quality Control Plans.
* Ensuring all plant measuring equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained to required ISO standards andoversee overall compliance in all departments; calling for repairs and carrying out calibration when and where required.
* Ensuring production staff are adhering to set manufacturing procedures, and records are completed correctly, in assistance with therelevant Production Team Leaders.
* Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurementtests; returning products for re-work to relevant departments; validation of re-work on completion.
* Apply agreed continuous improvement projects and deliver on targets.
* Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-workand waste; inputting data into quality management system.
* Adheres to company Safety, Health & Environmental Policies andProcedures
* Participate in a weekly quality team meeting with structured agenda and reports and help in the closure of all open NC's in a timely manner.
* Provide weekly / monthly Quality related KPI reports e.g. Right First Time, Internal Non-Conformances, Process Escalation Results, Quarantine Control.
* Develop, progress and maintain the escalation process
* Support and develop the role of the Quality and Metrology Technicians.
* Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications when required; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
* Communication off Non-conformancereports to relevant Suppliers and ensuring timely follow up from suppliers on immediate containment actions required.
* Reports to Quality Manager on daily basis for review of job requirements and feedback on task completion.
* Liaises cross functionally with design and process engineering teams, customer service, and production teams to resolve in-house, customer and supplier quality issues.
* Assists with New Product Introduction Processes & APQP requirements to ensure right first time standards are achieved.

Key competencies and skills required:
* Knowledge and application of ISO 9001 standard
* Good communication and influencing skills
* Ability to work on own Initiative
* Customer Focus (Internal and External)
* Bachelors Degree qualification (Engineering/Manufacturing/ Quality) an advantage but not necessary
* Relevant industry experience an advantage but not arequirement
* I.T. Proficient e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Requirements for Role:
* Familiar with ISO 9001 standards
* Suitable Degree Educated or relatable quality experience.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good communications and interpersonal skills dealing with other departments.
* Computer literacy in standard windows office and engineering programs.
*Good eye for detail.
* Ability to understand and interpret engineering/manufacturing drawings.
* Promoting process improvement.
