Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer (Birmingham) - Field Based
Location: Birmingham
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £43,000 + £200out of hours payment + Overtime
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our team. This field-based role involves working across multiple sites within the supermarket retail sector. If you have a background in retail refrigeration and are looking for a new challenge, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform reactive service and fault-finding repairs on supermarket equipment, including packs and display units.
* Troubleshootand diagnose issues with plant and equipment.
* Participate in the standby/shift rota (core working hours: 42.5 hours per week).
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as required.
* Achieve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Update and complete system entries and paperwork promptly.
Requirements:
* Qualified refrigeration engineer with a C&G2079 certificate (F Gas).
* Experience with CO2 and hydrocarbons (desirable).
* SPA Card.
* Previous experience in a retail refrigeration environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent communication skills.
