THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a well-respected globally recognised industrial electrical appliance business who is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager / Electrical Operations Manager to join the team.
As a Regional Operations Manager / Electrical Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and coaching a qualified team Service Technicians & Installation Technicians who are responsible for working with clients across the Midlands.
THE REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE:
* As the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out assessment of technical skills,customer engagement and commercial competencies in the working environment
* Managing a team of Service Technicians and Installation Technicians
* Establish and maintain an effective debriefing process on a frequent basis to ensure goals and targets are being met.
* Delivering constructive feedback via 1:1 meetings and group briefings.
* Responsible for ensuring team members receive the appropriate training, coaching, personal development and performance management to perform their role to the highest standard.
* Contribute to grading evaluations and development planning as required
* Consider the resource requirementsof the region - factoring in the skill base and experience of the field service technicians, as well as the customer needs in the territory.
* Evaluate the geography and the associated travelling times affecting service delivery and individual effectiveness.
* Ensuring the technicians have the correct and necessary information, resources, tools, training and coaching to complete all jobs allocated to the required standard.
* Takes ownership and responsibility for building a strong motivated team withclear goals, targets and personal objectives
* Creates a working environment which encourages a passion for service quality and continuous improvement in customer service
* Manage performance, recognise and reward appropriate behaviour and contributionto the business.
THE PERSON:
* Experienced in managing a team of field-based service technicians
* An electrical qualification is essential to enable you to effectively manage & coach the technicians
* Experience of working within the Commercial Electrical Equipment / industrial Electrical equipment industry would be a distinct advantage
* Good people managementwith the ability to lead, develop and give constructive feedback
* Troubleshooting experience with the ability to test, repairand service equipment
