Shift Maintenance Fitter Wanted - Co. Cork
Location: North, Co. Cork
Type: Full-Time,Permanent
Shift Pattern: 24/7, Average 39-hour Work Week
Join Our Team: Our client, a leading multinational company with aprocess facility in North Cork, is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Plant Fitter. This role has opened due to increased work orders and the addition of a new shift.

Key Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Support: Ensure equipment asset performance is maximised through high maintenance standards and adherence to safety regulations.
* FaultDiagnosis & Repair: Complete fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Preventative Maintenance: Implement preventative maintenance routines and analyse downtime to drive plant up time.
* Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and ownership for site mechanical systems.
Your Role Includes:
*First response for all mechanical breakdowns on-site.
* Conducting process improvements, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
* Maintaining motors, gearboxes, chain drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mobile plant, boilers, and drying kilns.* Manufacturing or adapting spare parts using skills in milling, turning, welding, cutting, and burning.
* Ensuring equipment is well-maintained and documenting any spares used.
* Supporting plant upgrade and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:
* Education: Time-served mechanical fitter in Mechanical Automation and Maintenance, Manufacturing, Tool-making,or similar.
* Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, preferably in heavy industry.* Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with experience in heavy plant and equipment maintenance.
* Certifications: Additional training in safety-related areas such as Safe Pass and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms is a plus.
