Contract: Rolling Contract,Start Date Between March/April
Pay Rate: £120 per day (subject to umbrella company deductions)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday(40 hours per week)
Are you looking for a hands-on role within the IT industry?
Concept are recruiting for a Software Installation Technician to join a leading IT services company, working with bespoke Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for installing software and assisting with hardwareconfiguration for major UK supermarket chains.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install software on various types of EPOS equipment and associated peripherals according to customer specifications.
* Work alongside a team of experienced technicians in a workshop environment, with occasional support for hardware configurations, builds, and testing.
* Handle hardware, routers, networks, switches, and hubs.
* Perform general workshop duties, including loading and unloading equipment for distribution.
* Assist with unit testing and quality control.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For:
*Enthusiastic and driven individuals with a keen interest in IT.
* Experience with software installation, particularly on EPOSsystems, is desirable but not essential.
* Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with experience maintaining computer hardware, routers, and networks is advantageous.
* Comfortable working in a hands-on role, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.* Ability to use basic tools such as screwdrivers and drills.
* A team player with the ability to work independently and takeownership of tasks.
* Ability to pass vetting checks, including criminal and financial background checks.
