An exciting contract opportunity within a well reputed manufacturing business in the Daventry area for a Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer has arisen.
This role will assist in the selection, development, management, and assurance of defect-free performanceof the supplier base with the objective of overall quality improvement and the proactive resolution of supplier quality issues.The Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer role:
The Supplier Quality Engineer will assist in the selection, development, management, and assurance of defect-free performance of the business' supplier base. You will work with the objective ofoverall quality improvement and quick resolution of supplier quality issues.
Concentrating on suppliers to maximise communication and establish successful working relationships with the key stakeholders.
Local travel around the UK and occasionally Europe to investigate supplier related issues through to resolution.
Participates in supplier evaluation, selection, andstrategic sourcing.
Assists in the supplier corrective action process including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
Ensures suppliers effectively utilise quality tools and deliver relevant training where required.
Workswith supplier to ensure all product requirements are met.
Facilitation of continuous improvement activities to reduce defects.
The successful Supplier Improvement Quality Engineer:
- PPAP approval experience and strong knowledge of APQPProcesses.
- Supplier Quality maintenance experience
- Strong communication skills and a knowledge of products withinfluid and air management commodities such as; tubes, hoses and water pumps would be desirable.
- Willingness to travel UK & European wide to service these suppliers.
- Previous experience working within the Quality Engineering function and an understanding or all quality Engineering fundamentals.
£31.10 PAYE - £41.50 Umbrella Gross
