An established commercial insurance broker in Shrewsbury is actively seeking an experienced Commercial/SME Account Handler to join their expanding team. Due to unprecedented growth, this fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven professional to develop their career in a rewarding environment.
Role: Commercial Account Handler
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Bonus
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will work closely with Account Executives, managing commercial/SME client accounts and attending client visits. Thisrole offers a clear development path to an Executive position, as well as the chance to work with a motivated team in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain regular contact with existing clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met
* Collaborate with managers to establish work targets and forecasts
* Work closely with Account Executives to ensure highclient satisfaction
* Maintain accurate client files, notes, and documentation
* Comply with FCA Principles for Business andinternal procedures
* Assist the Broking team with London Market presence and Lloyds placements
Requirements:
* Experience as an Account Handler in any industry
* Proficiency with Acturis or similar systems
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to build relationships with clients and underwriters
* Excellent communication skills (telephone,verbal, and written)
* Aptitude for selling, cross-selling, and rapport building
