CORPORATE INSURANCE TEAM SUPERVISORWATFORD
SALARY UP TO £55,000 + HYBRID WORKING OFFERED

THE OPPORTUNITY:
One of London's most respected Insurance brokersis now looking to expand their team after recent unprecedented growth and has a position for a Corporate Insurance Team Supervisor to join them. The purpose of the role is to supervise the Corporate department providing team management by action and skill.You should have sufficient experience to be able to direct the work of others in a positive and proactive way and will seekto ensure that the team meets all of its targets and accurately records relevant information in addition to resolving own case load efficiently.

As a Supervisor, the person will be a technical point of reference for the team and also help mentor and develop other members of the team whilst supporting the Head of Broking

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Actively drive the achievement of departmental sales and retention forecasts, targets, and plans in linewith the budgets determined by the business.
* Monitor the compliance and quality of team members on a monthly basis, reporting on issues and breaches and providing constructive and honest feedback to develop staff.
* Work closely with the management team to collaboratively resolve issues, improve processes, develop self and drive performance.
* Assist the Head of Broking inensuring effective people management in all aspects, including: resourcing, recruitment, induction, on-boarding, development, performance management, appraisal, training and development
* Act as technical referral point and encourage the generation of and be receptive to new ideas
* Able to deal directly with Senior Account Handlers, Account Executives and Business Developers at all levels ensuring that their demands and needs are met
* Guide junior staff in processes and procedures as positive role model to ensure they meet operating standards Co-ordinating workloads within the team and ensuring the delivery of a consistentlyexcellent standard of written correspondence, verbal communications and management processes.
* When appropriate delegate effectively taking into account available resources and conflicting priorities and overall objectives.
* Comply with FCA and internal procedures, keeping accurate and complete records of communications and business transactions and assist with team admin duties when necessary
* Prepare and maintain records of all discussions and negotiations with clients and insurers following meetings, telephone calls and broker appointments ensuring a complete audit trail at all times.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Experienced backgroud within a Insurer or a Insurance broker is required.
* Strong communication skills: telephone, verbal &written
* Must have excellent team player, communication and team development skills
* Enthusiasm for spending time externally with both Producing Brokers to develop relationships leading towards securing new and retaining existing cases
* Must be proactive and able to manage a varied workload
* Highly numerate
* Able to network effectively and proactively, and adapt style to influence others
* Excellent sales techniques and ability to close sales
* Ability to work independently and organiseown workload, whilst retaining adaptability and willingness to work under instruction
* Ability to interpret MI and financialdata and deploy remedial action if needed
* Strong time-management capability and extremely well organized. Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and ensure that own workload is processed effectively whilst team deadlines continue to be met.
