Data Scientist | Insurance Market | London | Permanent
Data Scientist required by my client, a leading and well-known insurance company, who are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team. You will have the chance to make a foothold in a globally recognised organisation within the London insurance market and play an integral part towards their long-term strategy for data. The suitable candidate will have previous experience as a Data Scientist or similar role with experience working with R and SQL. Insurance experience is desirable but we will consider candidates with the above experience outside of market.
Responsibilities:
·Identifying and leading the development of new methods of analysis
·Utilising tools such as R and SQL to develop new models for insight into underwriting and financial performance
·Working collaboratively with the business & IT to implement new models into production
·Act as a champion for statistical analysis
The suitable candidate will have experience in the following:
·Previous experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
·Experience within the insurance market would be desirable but not essential
·Experience with enquiring data sets and exposure to statistical software including R and SQL is essential
·Any additional experience with reporting business tools would be advantageous (i.e. Business Objects or Qlik)
