INSURANCE ACCOUNT HANDLER
WINCHESTER
£18,000 to £27,500
THE OPPORTUNITY:

We'reexclusively supporting a market leading business located in Winchester who is looking to expand their Sales/Account Handing team as part of their strategic expansion plans.

As an Insurance Account Handler, you'll be dealing with volume sales of car andvan insurance but other products too including home and travel insurance. Dealing with enquiries and generally providing a Can-Do Attitude aiming to impress and please our clients. We work in a busy environment arranging and renewing policies and you willneed to be used to working in such a fast pace.

THE PACKAGE:
£18,000 to £27,500 Basic
Ongoing Training and a Clear Development PathInsurance Account Handler Role:

* Working within a busy office environment as part of the sales team
* Contacting agreed target customers with a view to gaining a good understanding of their business and requirements
* Providing support to thecustomer service team who handle queries with from customers and handle order processing, supporting with inbound enquiries whenrequired
* Analysing market information, the Regional Sales Manager and target key accounts to develop further sales opportunities
* Educating customers on products and services to ensure that they're aware of the full portfolio
* Provide customer quotes and prices, where necessary agreeing price structures
* Upselling and cross selling the products / services.
* Bookingan appointment for a field based Regional Sales Manager to meet customers to discuss larger bulk orders or to meet existing customers.

Essential Skills:

* Good standard of education
* Good proven sales skills
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Have patience, politeness and maintain professionalism working in a busy environment.
* Ability to multi-taskand prioritise
* Ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues at all levels of seniority.
* Liaise effectively with other internal departments and external insurers.
* Confidence to deal with difficult situations and to know when appropriate, seek guidance from managers
* Good team working skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Desire to gain full understanding of products and processes and complete CPD (continuous professional Development)
* Computer's skills - Word Excel
* Understanding the Data Protection Act.
* Be able to empathise and show a caring attitude.

Desirable:

* Previous experience in the Car Insurance sector.
* Previous experience in Banking, Retail
* Understanding of cars.
* Call centreexperience
* Ability to problem solve
* Good understanding of Maths and percentages
