INSURANCE ACCOUNT HANDLER
LONDON
£30,000 to £35,000
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're exclusively supporting a specialist Insurance Broker with over 35 years experience within their chosen industry and located in London City. They are looking to expand their Account Handling team as part of their growth plans over the coming 12 months following an extremely successful year.
As a Account Handler you'll be asked to fully support the construction division management team. business development and account executives and supervisor in the key areas of account handling and broking of existing and new business.
You will also provide a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers in accordance FCA requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Advising on existing products.
* Assisting on the handling of claims.* Minimal knowledge of construction related covers. EL & PL, Contractors All Risks.
* Able to work with Snr Acc handlers, Acc Execs & BD Execs. Making sure their needs are met.
* Working along side the commercial construction team, supporting on both renewal and new business functions
* Ensuring you are a effective communicator in both written and verbal.
* Maintaining a good working relationship with the contact services team.
THE PERSON:
* Technical knowledge of all classes of businesses under construction markets
* Spoken and written communication skills
* Excellent sales and negotiation skills
* Honesty and integrity
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Drive and motivation to meet targets* Good business sense
QUALIFICATIONS
* Basic understanding of general insurance
* Construction desirable but not essential
* Experience of working within budgets
* CII qualified or working towards
* 1 years experience working in a broker
