The Role
SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Insurance Manager who is ACII qualified, they will haveoverall responsibility for the management of a portfolio of insurance companies within the Group. The successful Insurance Manager will have a technical background in Underwriting and Risk Management, be responsible for producing accurate and relevant information for Regulatory Authorities and to enable the captive Boards to make informed decisions. The role will also involve assistance with feasibility studies and similar consultancy projects.

What You Will Be Doing
* To be responsible for producing accurate and pertinent information on a timely basis to enable the captive Boards to make informed decisions.
* Liaise with parent company, insurance regulator, Directors, service providers in respect of the above.
* Advise senior management of significant issues in respect of the above.
* Assist with underwriting decisions in conjunction with the Client including Renewals and New Business.
* Maintain andupdate the office on a regular basis of new business developments on existing accounts and new business projects carried out bythe office and maintain the prospect list on CRM. This will entail interaction with the Global Captive Practice Sales team on regular phone in/skype meetings.
* Support the Head of Office on the execution of project work and if required participate in the presentation of the project results to prospect
* Attend at the request of the Head of Office capability presentations to new prospects visiting the office here in Gibraltar or possibility a trip abroad to the prospects home country.
* Obtaining GFSCapproval of changes to business plan.
* Obtaining board approval for underwriting decisions.
* Utilise Insurance ManagementReporting System to record client underwriting data.
* Develop and maintain a RISK REGISTER, as part of each clients' Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
* Work with the Accountant on all insurance related returns linked to Solvency II and GFSC return.
* Compile/Review the underwriting accounts as part of the regular reporting package for each client working under control of the Accountant to produce management accounts, statutory accounts and information, budgets, cash flow statements and supplementary information as required in a timely manner.
* Gain an understanding of Solvency II and the solvency capital requirement (SCR) and liaise with the actuarial function/Accountant on the completion of the Company model.
* Manage cash requirements withescrow accounts held by claims handlers for each assigned client and understand time cycle and process of maintaining of the companies minimum funds. Regular contact with Accountant will be required to ensure funds are available.
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
* CII/ACII qualified
* 5-10 years captive insurance experience or related industries
* Knowledge of insurance industry
* Knowledge of and experience with more complex insurance programs, such as: reinsurance, Risk Retention Groups, global or complex programs, etc.
* Experience dealing with a client who has a sophisticated Risk Manager as abuyer
* Excellent Client Service and interpersonal skills, comfortable dealing directly with clients
* Compliance knowledge* Can solve moderately complex issues and will recognise more complex issues to be raised to a higher level
