SRGEurope are recruiting for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join an established Insurance Company based in both Gibraltar and the UK. The Senior Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Companies Finance Team and primarily responsible for the internal and external financial requirements for their clients and the clients companies. You will have strong technical expertise and have knowledge of Insurance accounting and reporting.The role reports to the Finance Director based in Gibraltar.
Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
*Prepare and manage the monthly management accounts
* Preparation of annual budget and reforecasts
* Preparation of the coinsurance and quota share bordereaux
* Cash flow management
* Conduct accurate and timely inter-company accounting and invoicing
* Liaise with the auditors at year end and on an ongoing basis as and when required
* Responsible for managing the auditors in their preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
* Overview of banking and investments of client
* Prepare legal, statutory and regulatory returns, to include but not limited to: FSC returns, IPT, ABI, MIB, FOS, FSCS, LFB
* Undertaking work in the completion of reporting on Solvency 2 Pillar I and III requirements
* Maintain accurate and up to date process notes
* Undertake project work as required
* Work closely with the other team members to provide coordinated serviceto the business
* To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times
* Any other duties as reasonably required
Senior Financial Accountant Skills:
* Ideally Qualified ACA,ACCA,CIMA level
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Good time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* People management and leadership skills and ability to motivate employees in a high pressurised environment* Problem solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and adopt a logical approach to resolving problems
* Commercially focused
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Computer literate
