The RoleSRGEurope have been appointed to recruit an experienced Senior Management Accountant for a long established, professional Insurance company. The role requires a motivated and hardworking candidate with strong analytical, time management and organisational skills and a focus on data quality and control. Candidates will be qualified in a recognised accounting qualification. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar.

What You Will Be Doing
*
Developing a good understanding of the activities of the business and a strong working relationship with senior managers across the entire business, in orderto be able to provide financial, numerical and procedural assistance to a variety of departments
*
Take the lead on the monthly management accounts ensuring the timely reporting to the Board and other key stakeholders.
*
Ownership of financialreporting processes, ensuring that processes are efficient and the outputs are fit for purpose. This excludes the financial statements.
*
Responsibility for the completion of detailed variance analysis, and the communication of key performance messages to ensure all relevant stakeholders are appropriately informed regarding Company performance
*
Responsibility for the preparation of quarterly reinsurance statements in line with contractual obligations.
*
Developing existing reporting processes and driving continuous improvement in all activities.
*
Preparation and submission of regulatory returns
*
Preparation of cashflows
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
*
Qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) with experience in a Management Accounting or Financial Accounting role.
*
Strong academic background with strong numeracy and analytical skills
*
Experience of accounting processes and a good understanding of financial controls
*
Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior management
*
Self-motivator, pro-active in all aspects of the role
*
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
*
Experience of working within the Gibraltar Financial Services industry, ideally with Insurance experience
*
Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills
