Bilingual English and Spanish Underwriting Team Leader required for an established Insurance company based in Gibraltar. As the Underwriting Team Leader you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similarrole and supervise the Underwriting Department, assessing risks in an objective, profitable and competitive manner. You will also establish, develop and maintain relationships with all external stakeholders, such as brokers, clients, and PR contacts.What's on offer to you?

What You Will Be Doing
*
Prepare all policy documentation.
*
Set up new and update existing products schedules in the system.
*
Assist in business development and ad hoc projects.
*
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director and Underwriting Manager.
*
Supervise the Underwriting Department members.*
Be responsible for performance management, staff training and development of the team.
*
Make underwriting decisions to attract new and retain existing business.
*
Respond to internal and external client queries in person, by phone ore-mail.
*
Supervise and implement the Underwriting Team's servicing of nominated accounts, customers and brokers.
*Establish and maintain third party relationships, including making regular visits, in order to best meet their insurance and business requirements.
*
Supervise the undertaking of Monthly renewals.
*
Review business activity reports as requiredand report to management.
*
Review existing policies and make necessary adjustments (renewals, endorsements).
*
Analyse proposal forms, assign rates and prepare quotations for new business enquiries.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
*
Fluent in English and Spanish
*
CII qualified or close to being fully qualified
*
Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset
*
Experience in managing and motivated team
