Job Title: Claims Handler

Salary: £24,000 to £35,000
We are looking for an experienced Claims handler to manage and support the combined business with Public Liability claims. This will cover the full process of Injury and complex property claims within a construction environment including exposure to the Highways Act.

Valuable skills;
* Knowledge and experience of the highways act.
* Prior experience managing a caseload of PublicLiability claims, injury and property (ideally in a construction environment)
* Microsoft package (Excel, Word & Outlook)* CII or CILA qualifications preferred
Job Responsibilities;
* Review of active claims and adherence to group insurance processes
* Provide feedback on development areas and best practice
* Assist with the development of claims co-ordinators technical knowledge
* Support the Group Insurance claims manager with identifying training requirements
* Assist withthe development and delivery of claim specific training
* Work with divisional claims coordinators and business managers to ensure the thorough investigation, recording of evidence and defence of claims
* Providing ad-hoc support and guidance to claimsco-ordinators within each business division
* Liaison with key suppliers Loss Adjuster, Insurers and Solicitor panels as required to reach a claims settlement
* Liaison with claimants or their representative to resolve within deductible insurance claims
* Manage pre and post litigated cases through the small, fast and multi-track court process
* General administration of claims records and files
